Update: The Fight Continues to Bring the New Camas Utility Tax to a Vote

It's been said that battles are lost or won in 15 minutes. In the case of Camas Referendum 1, it took 101 days and 91 votes.

The City of Camas and Clark County Auditor have, once again, rejected the volume of signatures gathered in support of bringing the newly imposed utility tax to a vote. Per the Clark County Auditor, the canvassing of the petition yielded a deficit of 91 votes.

As staunch proponents of transparency, we’d like you to see the letter we received this afternoon. Enjoy the read. The criteria of which signatures were evaluated or rejected was not disclosed in this letter. If you would like to know if your signature was one of the accepted or rejected, you can call the Clark County Auditor's office.
